IPC: 'We witnessed high participation during voting process'

Voters of all age groups enthusiastically participated in the elections, Soro Fobeh, the head of the delegation of the International Parliamentarians' Congress (IPC), said at a press conference held on February 8 about the results of the snap presidential elections in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

"We witnessed a high turnout during the voting process," he added.

According to him, observation missions participated in 10 locations, 5 in Baku and 5 in Sumgait: "During the observation, we did not witness cases of violation and confusion. During the elections, a special issue attracted our attention. Special conditions were created for people with physical disabilities. We greatly appreciate the creation of a full condition for people with disabilities. We congratulate Azerbaijan for this initiative. We thank the Central Election Commission and the Milli Majlis (parliament) for inviting the IPC observation mission."
