Vitalie Jacot, a member of the Moldovan parliament and chairman of the parliamentary friendship group between Moldova and Azerbaijan, said that the election process was fully transparent and active, Report informs.
The representative of Moldova noted at the briefing that he watched the election process in the liberated city of Khankandi: "I was in Shusha 2 years ago. I saw the destroyed monuments and mosques. It affected me very badly. But all monuments, including churches, were restored without any damage. When I went to Khankandi yesterday, my colleagues were very emotional along the way. In general, Khankandi is a charming but empty city. Nevertheless, there was a sense of certainty that no one would destroy the empty houses and properties. It was felt that people could return here whenever they wanted and live in peace.
"I also had the opportunity to talk with people living in the liberated areas. Some people became refugees from Khankandi and later returned to their land. They seemed very confident and optimistic. This feeling of certainty and confidence can overcome many things. As for elections, during our observations, we saw that the election process was fully transparent and active."
