Mozambique observer: Participation in elections necessary for democratic traditions in Azerbaijan

It is very important to take part in the voting and make a choice to continue democratic traditions in Azerbaijan, Benedito Machava from Mozambique, who is participating in the early parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan as an observer from the Youth Organization of the Non-Aligned Movement, told Report.

"So far I believe that the process has been good because I saw the movement of the people, they are interested in going to the polling station, I have to congratulate the Azerbaijani people for that engagement in the process, because it is very important to make our own choice, for who must lead us during the period of the parliamentary administration or during the all political process. I also congratulate the role of the media in covering that process to show to all of those in Azerbaijan or out of Azerbaijan that is important to do and to go forward with our right to choose our leaders and to preserve the democracy in our nation. As invited by the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization, it shows to the world that NAM is an organization that gives respective importance to democracy and transparency of the electoral process, because that is the way how we build democracy. Azerbaijani government and Azerbaijani people are in that process," he added.
