MP: Shusha Declaration opens ample opportunities for Azerbaijan

"One hundred three years ago, when Azerbaijan was experiencing disasters, the Caucasian Islamic Army of the brotherly country came to Baku. Despite the great difficulties faced by the Caucasus Islamic Army, together with the newly formed Army of Azerbaijan, they defeated the Bolshevik-Dashnak forces and entered Baku," the Chairman of the Motherland Party (AVP), MP Fazail Aghamali told journalists, Report informs.

According to him, it opened a great opportunity for Azerbaijan's independence, and Azerbaijan entered a new era: "This is the historical pride that Turkish-Azerbaijani relations gave us in the most challenging period. Precisely 102 years later, on September 27, when Azerbaijan started its war against the Armenians and those behind them, brotherly Turkey again stood by us. This time Turkey gave both political and moral support. We are proud that we are Turks, and today we are living very happy moments," the MP said.

He stressed that Azerbaijan is already in an alliance agreement with Turkey: "The Shusha Declaration opens ample opportunities for Azerbaijan. Today, joint exercises of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Pakistani service members are being held. We are grateful to every Turkish martyr for today," he added.
