No pressure was put on the voters on the election day, the General Secretary of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanychbek Omuraliev, said at the press conference held on February 8 about the results of the extraordinary presidential elections, Report informs.
According to him, the organization successfully completed the observation mission in the early presidential elections in accordance with international standards and laws: "OTS observers held meetings with President Ilham Aliyev and the Chairman of the Central Election Commission before the elections. On election day, our observer mission is divided into three groups. The voting process was observed in Baku, Shusha, Khojaly, and Khankandi. The observers from the stations were given all the information in full. We have not witnessed any violations of the law. Public order was fully ensured during the process. The process was carried out completely freely at the polling stations."
