Western Azerbaijan Community condemns Polish President's visit to Armenia-Azerbaijan border

The Western Azerbaijan Community (WAC) has expressed deep concern over Polish President Andrzej Duda's recent visit to the conditional border between Azerbaijan and Armenia. In a statement released by the community, they highlighted that the majority of the territories patrolled by the EU mission in Armenia are historical places of residence for Western Azerbaijanis, who have been repeatedly subjected to deportation and witnessed the destruction and devastation of their lands.

The WAC noted with disappointment that their appeals to the European Union regarding this matter have gone unanswered. They reminded President Duda, who stated that he would like Armenians to live peacefully on their land within clearly defined borders, that when Azerbaijani territories were under occupation, they did not witness such statements from Poland in support of Azerbaijan.

Addressing the Polish president's comment about the possibility of his country being "more involved in resolving the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia," the community pointed out that official Warsaw has enough problems with neighboring countries and it would be more logical for Poland to focus on solving its own issues.

WAC urged Poland not to take steps that escalate the situation in the South Caucasus. Armenia must understand that it is impossible to achieve peace in the region through cheap shows like 'binocular diplomacy' and by looking at adventurers like Luis Ocampo and Greta Thunberg as 'new saviors', the WAC emphasized.
