Azerbaijan to appeal to international organizations over river pollution

"Azerbaijan is one of the countries with poor water supply. 70% of our water needs are formed from abroad. Most of Azerbaijan's water potential was in Karabakh. Relevant monitoring is underway in this regard," Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Firdovsi Aliyev said.

Report quotes as saying that at times, Armenia violated environmental conventions:

"Preliminary results of the monitoring will be presented to international organizations for investigation. The enemy dumped the waste from the ore refinery on the Okhchuchay into the river. Moreover, they throw everything into the river Araz. As a result, the enemy pollutes our nature and rivers. The monitoring is underway, and the issue will be raised before international organizations."
