In the coming years, the water level of the Caspian Sea is projected to decrease by a staggering 8-10 meters, depending on various climate scenarios, according to Rafig Verdiyev, Deputy Head of the Environmental Policy Department at Azerbaijan's Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

According to Report, speaking during the "Water and Gender Equality" conference held at ADA University, Verdiyev said that to address this looming crisis, Azerbaijan is currently developing a national program for adaptation to climate change.
