MENR: All our forces mobilized to extinguish fire in Gabala

"All our forces are mobilized and working to contain the fire in the mountainous area with complex terrain in Gabala," a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Irada Ibrahimova told Report.

According to her, measures are underway to prevent a fire from spreading to other areas with the help of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the district executive power, and the local community.

The ministry official once again called on citizens: "We urge everyone to follow fire safety rules. People tend to travel to nature because of the hot weather, which increases the risk of forest fires. Let's not forget that a bit of carelessness causes irresistible fires. Extinguishing them requires a lot of effort and labor. Along with the destruction of flora and fauna, the soil layer, it causes a lot of damage to the state budget."
