Snow, strong wind, low temperature expected in Azerbaijan

The weather is expected to be rainy in Baku and Absheron peninsula from December 22 to 25, and it may sleet in some parts of the peninsula on December 23-24, Report informs, citing the National Hydrometeorological Service.

On December 23, the speed of the northwest wind will increase to 15-18 m/s, sometimes reaching 20-23 m/s. Compared to the previous days, the temperature will gradually fall by 5-8 degrees.

The weather is expected to be rainy and snowy in some places in the northern and western regions of Azerbaijan from the evening of December 21 to the evening of December 24. Rainfall is expected to intensify, mainly in mountainous and foothill areas. West wind will blow at the speed of 15-20 m/s at times and reach 23-28 m/s in some places.

The temperature will gradually fall by 5-10 degrees compared to the previous days. Roads are likely to be icy, mainly in the highlands.
