Armenia continues to pollute the part of the Okhchuchay River passing through Azerbaijan, said Umayra Tagiyeva, head of the National Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Report informs.
According to her, 58 monitoring was conducted in Okhchuchay in 2021-2022: "The ministry regularly analyzes the Okhchuchay. The analysis was taken from three different directions of the river, more than 150 from water samples and more than 180 from bottom sediments. Physical and chemical analyzes were carried out on the basis of these samples. It was found that the pollution in the river is 5-7 times higher than average. Unfortunately, the pollution continues today. The weight of heavy metals and other polluting metals in the river is currently 5.5-7 times higher."
