Bundestag member Carl-Julius Cronenberg, who arrived in Azerbaijan on a visit, has informed the students about the German Bundestag International Parliamentary Scholarships (IPS), Report informs.
Cronenberg held a meeting at the Azerbaijan University of Languages.
“I am very glad that so many students in Azerbaijan are interested in this program,” the MP said, noting that the IPS program allows foreign students to get acquainted with the work of the German parliament, having completed an internship there.
Cronenberg noted that upon arrival in Azerbaijan, he immediately felt the tolerance and cultural diversity of this country. He said that Azerbaijan manages to carefully preserve cultural traditions.
Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages Kamal Abdullayev also attended the meeting.
Through the IPS program, from March 1 through July 31, 2022, 120 fellows from 44 countries will be able to familiarize themselves with the German parliamentary system through a scholarship fully funded by the Bundestag.
