International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival 2022 (SAF-2022) has kicked off at the Baku Expo Center with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, Report informs.
The festival's opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, state officials, and MPs.
The purpose of the festival is to support STEAM-based education, help 21st-century skills among students, identify and network creative, digital tech-savvy students, and research international experiences in innovation and digitalization.
The STEAM Azerbaijan Festival is organized in the format of a competition in 10 categories, as well as in the format of an exhibition of cutting-edge innovations projects in 1 category.
1,312 people from a total of 350 teams will participate in SAF 2022. 127 of them are from Turkiye, the UK, Sweden, Estonia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan and 442 are local participants.
