A delegation of the non-governmental organization Mine Mark, based in The Hague, the Netherlands, will visit the Aghdam district, the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora told Report.
The delegation, whose visit to Azerbaijan was organized by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, will get acquainted with the scale of unprecedented destruction committed by Armenians in the Aghdam district during the 30-year occupation and will train students on mine safety at the Aghdam Technical School No. 14.
On April 25, 2019, the delegation of Mine Mark held an educational event for students at the Jojug Marjanli village secondary school named after Novruz Aslanov in the Jabrayil district. Books and brochures with pictures of different types of mines were distributed to students, and fun games were organized.
Mine Mark, a non-governmental organization, was registered in the Kingdom of the Netherlands in 2018. The founders of this organization are Lala Mustafazada and Nils Hegel. Established to educate children about mine safety, the organization develops teaching aids (books, video tutorials, educational cartoons, and games) based on the guidelines of the UN Mine Action Service. Currently, the organization has created a virtual game application on mine safety and plans to reach a larger audience.
