Educators, students in Azerbaijan may get more time for vaccination

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Education has proposed that educators receive a second dose of the COVID vaccine within a month, rather than before October 1, as was previously required, adviser to the Education Minister Rustam Agayev told journalists, Report informs.

Discussions on this issue are ongoing, he said.

“We believe educators and students should be given an additional opportunity. As a result, they can receive both doses of the coronavirus vaccine within a month. More accurate data will be released in the coming days,” he noted.

Primary school students will get back to school on September 22 and students of middle and senior classes, as well as higher and secondary specialized educational institutions will resume their studies on September 29.
