An event related to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Jewish school in Baku, Rabbi Zamir Isayev, Chairman of the Georgian - Sepharadi Jewish community of Azerbaijan, wrote on Facebook, Report informs.
An art exhibition dedicated to the Great Leader was held in the Jewish school No. 46, a group of students commemorated Heydar Aliyev's monument and read poems and lectures as a tribute to him.
The special attention and concern of Heydar Aliyev towards the Jews of Azerbaijan have been known since the difficult days of the Soviet era when religion and any national customs were forbidden. Jewish school No. 46 was opened in 1994 on the personal initiative of the Great Leader.
Currently, the government not only takes special care of the ethnic minorities living in Azerbaijan but also thinks about their future and creates all conditions to preserve their national traditions and national consciousness.
As an example, within the state program of the Ministry of Science and Education, 3 Jewish subjects are taught at a high level in Baku Jewish schools: the history of the Jewish people, the traditions of the Jewish people, and the Hebrew language.
Heydar Aliyev's policy is continued today by President Ilham Aliyev.
