In the near future, the parties will complete negotiations on the academic training program of the University of Italy-Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told reporters after the groundbreaking ceremony for this university in Baku.
According to him, the creation of the Italy-Azerbaijan University became possible within the framework of the agreements reached during the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Italy in February 2020, when the "Joint Declaration on Strengthening the Multidimensional Strategic Partnership" was signed.
The opening of the university will be another step in strengthening the Azerbaijani-Italian cooperation.
The ADA University, as well as five Italian universities, the University of Bologna, the University of Milan, the Polytechnic University of Turin, the Sapienza University, and the University of LUISS, are participating in the implementation of the project.
"These universities are ready to offer their advanced experience in teaching in a number of important areas for our country," the minister added.
