Lyudmila Marchenko, a member of the Servant of the People Party of Verkhovna Rada and the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani interparliamentary working group, announced statistics of students coming to Azerbaijan from Ukraine for higher education.
"Over the past five years, we have observed a rise in students leaving Ukraine for Azerbaijan. This dynamic will obviously increase. Today, the Ministry of Education told me that 1,200 Ukrainians study at Azerbaijani universities. There are documents applied between Ukraine and Azerbaijan, so we see growth. Ukrainian students are interested in Azerbaijan and the format of information voiced in its universities, and there is a demand for these students in the labor market. This is one of the right directions for the development of relations between Ukraine and Azerbaijan. Mainly, they direct to engineering faculty because Ukraine needs this area," she noted.
