Karabakh University is actively working to bring Azerbaijani scholars living abroad back to their homeland in order to support both the teaching and the scientific process, Shahin Bayramov, the rector of Karabakh University, said in an interview with the Azerbaijan Teacher newspaper.
"We are currently in talks with numerous Azerbaijani scientists to join our university as permanent staff members," Bayramov said.
"The participation of Azerbaijanis living abroad in the activities of Karabakh University and benefiting from their support will always be on our agenda as one of the main issues we will consider,” Bayramov emphasized.
The rector also emphasized that in the initial stage of scientific research, there are plans to establish more laboratories focused on engineering.
“Plans are in place to create laboratories for artificial intelligence, physics, chemistry, robotics, and information technology that meet the requirements of our specialties. Since only first-year students are currently studying at the university, we are focusing on the needs of the first academic year when selecting and creating these laboratories. In the next stage, we also plan to build professional and modern laboratories based on the requirements of the relevant specialties,” he said.
