The Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) is working on a concept for using existing pipelines to pump green energy, said Afgan Isayev, director-general of Southern Gas Corridor CJSC, Report informs.
Engineering studies are being carried out on the possible concentration of green hydrogen in the mixture in the Trans-Adriatic gas pipeline, he said, adding that results it is possible that there will be results by the middle of next year.
Isayev stressed that SGC, which is part of the SOCAR group, is also working on the potential expansion of the gas pipeline.
Hopefully, a final investment decision will be made by the end of this year, he said.
