Energy Ministry: Azerbaijan announced 3 global energy initiatives on COP29 agenda

Azerbaijan's Energy Ministry, together with partners, is working on preparations for COP29, the country's Deputy Minister of Energy Orkhan Zeynalov said on September 18, speaking at the Caspian Energy Forum, Report informs.

He noted that the work is being carried out in two directions: "The first direction is related to the energy initiatives of the COP29 presidency agenda, the second is directly related to the energy events that will be organized within the COP29 and pre-COP."

"In general, three global energy initiatives have been announced on the COP29 agenda from our side - on green corridors, on energy storage and energy networks, and a global hydrogen declaration," Zeynalov said.

He added that the Ministry of Energy plans to hold a total of 15 events within the COP29.
