European Parliament calls on EU countries to impose embargo on Russian energy supplies

The European Parliament (EP) has called on the EU countries to impose an embargo on energy supplies from Russia, Report informs citing President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.

"The European Parliament calls for an immediate Pan-European embargo on Kremlin-controlled energy supplies. It’s time to cut our dependencies on autocrats once and for all," she tweeted.

In this regard, the EP president also promised support to Bulgaria and Poland, and other countries.

Earlier it was reported that Gazprom completely suspended gas supplies to Bulgaria and Poland.
