Turkiye plans to start operating the gas hub within a year, Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez said, Report informs referring to the Star newspaper.
“I hope we will be able to operate the gas center within one year,” he said.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the Trakya region in northwestern Turkiye would turn into an energy hub of international importance. The Turkish leader noted that Turkiye’s energy concept involves reducing the country’s dependence on external sources by 2053 from 71 to 13%.
