Injection of gas into European underground storage facilities exceeded withdrawal for the first time since the start of the heating season (mid-November), and wind power generation in the region surged last week, Report informs with reference to the Wind Europe Association and the Association of Gas Infrastructure Operators of Europe (Gas Infrastructure Europe, GIE).

The average generation at wind farms in the region last week amounted to 21.29%, which is 8.64 percentage points more than the previous week. Prior to that, the figure had been falling five weeks in a row, and in the first weeks of December fell sharply to just over 10% from almost 20%.
