Oil and condensate production in Kazakhstan reached 21.1 million tons during the first three months of the year, fulfilling the plan for January-March this year, Energy Minister Nurlan Nogayev said, Report informs referring to Kazakh media.
“Regarding large oil and gas companies, the indicators are as follows: As part of the Tengiz project, 6.7 million tons of oil were extracted for the specified period, which made 100 percent of the plan for the reporting months. As part of the North Caspian project - Kashagan, the volume of oil extraction amounted to 3.7 million tons, with the plan for January-March fulfilled by 100 percent. Indicators of the Karachaganak project amounted to 3.1 million tons, which is 100 percent higher than the plan for the three months of this year,” he said.
During the reporting period, 16.6 million tons of oil were exported, which means the plan for January-March of this year was fulfilled by 100 percent, the minister said.
“Following the OPEC+ meeting on April 1, 2021, oil production will be gradually increased by 6,000 barrels per day in May, June and July, respectively,” he reminded.
Moreover, 13.9 billion cubic meters of gas were produced in the first quarter of this year, which is 100 percent of the plan for the three months of this year.
“Domestic consumption of commercial gas amounted to 6.6 billion cubic meters, this figure was fulfilled by 111.3 percent against the plan for January-March this year. The volume of liquefied petroleum gas production amounted to 817,000 tons, which is equal to 100 percent to the plan for the reporting period. The volume of exported gas amounted to 2.1 billion cubic meters, reaching 105.4 percent of the plan for the reporting period,” he concluded.
