Preparations are underway for transporting Azerbaijani gas from Turkiye to the Balkan states, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said today at the briefing on the results of the 9th Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council Ministerial Meeting and the 1st Green Energy Advisory Council Ministerial meeting held in Baku, according to Report.
"Transit issues have been resolved. There is no need for additional new agreements in this regard," Shahbazov said.
According to him, of course, when producing natural gas, all contracts and agreements related to its supply have been concluded in advance: "During the recent energy crisis in Europe, we saw that today there is a demand for Azerbaijani gas. There have already been appeals to Azerbaijan in this regard."
The minister said that today the issue of negotiations regarding the sale of Azerbaijani natural gas has been resolved.
He also said that Azerbaijan has enough natural gas reserves.
