Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), an oil transportation project in which Russia, Kazakhstan, and several leading companies of the world have a stake, exported 58.7 million tons of oil in 2022, a drop of 2 million tons or 3.3% from the same period last year, Report informs, citing the website of the consortium.
In 2021, the pipeline pumped more than 60.7 million tons of crude oil to the world market.
Kazakhstan accounted for 80% of the exported oil, and Russia was responsible for 10%.
In 2022, CPC transported 52.2 million tons of oil from the territory of Kazakhstan. All volumes of supplied oil were filled in 527 tankers during the year.
In December 2022 alone, the pipeline exported 660,000 tons of oil. In November, this figure was 364,000 tons.
