No damage was found at the site of the Akkuyu NPP after a new earthquake in Türkiye, and the construction of the plant continues, Rosatom's project company, Akkuyu Nuclear said, Report informs via Russian media.
"On February 20, tremors of magnitude up to 6.4 were recorded in southeastern Türkiye, with an epicenter in the province of Hatay. The earthquake was also felt in the province of Mersin. According to the Kandilli Seismic Research Laboratory, the intensity of tremors at the construction site of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant was 2.5 points," the company said.
"Based on the results of the inspection carried out by Akkuyu Nuclear specialists, no deviations or damage were found. Construction and installation work at the site continues,” the company added.
