Six documents to be signed at Azerbaijan-Turkey Energy Forum

Six documents will be inked within the 1st Azerbaijan-Turkey Energy Forum in Baku today, Report informs.

The forum will be co-chaired by Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez. The first document will be the Protocol of the 1st Azerbaijan-Turkey Energy Forum.

The forum will also sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the supply of natural gas, a Protocol of Cooperation between Azerenergy and the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation.

In addition, an agreement on collaboration in the field of mining will be signed between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

MoU will be inked between the State Agency for the Use of Mineral Resources of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and AzerGold Closed Joint-Stock Company and the General Directorate of Mining Research and Exploration of the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and MTA International Mining Company and MoU on cooperation in the field of earth sciences between the National Geological Survey of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and the General Directorate of Mining Research and Exploration of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey.

The Azerbaijan-Turkey Energy Forum was established within the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey to ensure more flexible and results-oriented strategic energy cooperation.
