SOCAR Georgia Gas, the Georgian subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), has supplied natural gas to the Manglisi settlement of the Tetritskaro municipality in the Kvemo Kartli region.
According to Report's local bureau, the settlement was gasified was part of the state program.
Georgian Minister of Economic and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava got acquainted with the gasification work and said there had been no natural gas in Manglis so far: “It was a complicated and expensive project. However, as a result of the work done, about 1,600 families were provided with gas.
As part of a large-scale project, 45,180 meters of gas pipelines were laid, and 1,558 consumers received access to gas. The Georgian Gas Transport Company ensured the connection of the resort settlement to the single gas distribution network.
The governor of Kvemo Kartli region Shota Rekhviashvili, General Director of SOCAR Energy Georgia Mahir Mammadov, Director Azar Mammadov, Director General of the Georgian Gas Transportation Company Mikheil Shalamberidze, and representatives of local authorities attended the ceremony.
According to the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, under the gasification plan for 2019-2021, 29 villages in the Kvemo Kartli region, covering 7,870 consumers, will be supplied with natural gas.
