Swiss authorities voluntarily join EU energy saving measures

Switzerland is voluntarily joining the EU measures to save energy. The relevant policy of the authorities of the federal republic will be pursued until the start of the winter heating season 2023-2024, Report informs referring to the website of the Federal Council of the country.

The Federal Council held at its meeting on December 21, 2022, a discussion of the measures taken and planned by the EU to reduce electricity consumption and reduce electricity prices. The authority also decided to continue the campaign until the winter of 2023/2024, reads the statement.
