Azer Amiraslanov: Social package to cover 3 million people in Azerbaijan next year

The social package that the government of Azerbaijan plans to implement next year will cover about 3 million people, Azer Amiraslanov, chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, said at the plenary session of the parliament, Report informs.

He noted that the implementation of a social package including multilateral measures is planned for 2025.

"There are plans to increase the minimum wage and minimum pension, index pensions, as well as implement measures in the area of social benefits and scholarships. The state policy in the field of public welfare is manifested not only in social but also in other areas of budget expenditures," Amiraslanov added.
