In January-August of this year, Azerbaijan's gross domestic product (GDP) made 84,880.4 million manats ($50 million), up by 5.8%, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
Over the past year, the added value in the oil and gas sector of the economy decreased by 2% and increased by 10.3% in the non-oil and gas sector.
Industry made 52.5% of GDP production, trade, vehicle repair were responsible for 7.9%, transport and warehousing for 6.1% , agriculture, forestry and fishing for 5.1%, construction for 3.9%, tourist accommodation and public catering for 1.5%, information and communication for 1.3%, other areas for 14.1%, and net taxes on products and imports for 7.6%.
During the year, the value of GDP per capita in the country increased by 54.4% to 8,440 manats ($4,964.71).
