From January through August 2021, Azerbaijan produced gross domestic product (GDP) worth 54.73 billion manats ($32.21 billion), or 3.6% more than the same period last year,
The value added in the oil and gas sector of the economy decreased by 1.2%, while in the non-oil and gas sector it increased by 5.7%.
According to the committee, 40.4% of GDP production came from the industry, 10.4% from trade; repair of vehicles, 7.2% - transport and warehousing, 6.5% - agriculture, forestry and fishing, 5% - construction, 1.8% - information and communication, 1.1% - tourist accommodation and catering, 18.4% - other fields. Net taxes on products and imports accounted for 9.2% of GDP.
Over the past year, the GDP per capita in the country increased by 18.5% to 5,466 manats ($3,217).
