In January-March 2023, Azerbaijan produced a gross domestic product worth 30,310.6 million manats ($17.8 billion), or 0.4% more than in the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Over the past year, value added decreased by 3.9%, in the oil and gas sector of the economy while it increased by 4.9% in the non-oil and gas sector.
The committee noted that 47.5% of GDP production came from industry, 9% from trade; vehicle repair, 5.4% transport and warehousing, 2.6% agriculture, forestry and fishing, 5% construction, 1.9% tourist accommodation and public catering, 1.5% information and communication sectors, 17.6% by other sectors, and net taxes on products and imports made up 9.5% of GDP.
Over the past year, GDP per capita in the country grew by 2.4% to 2,991 manats ($1,759.41).
