Ruble plunges to record low

The dollar and the euro skyrocketed to ruble on Monday, reaching an all-time high, and are now trading 20% above the previous session close on Friday, Report informs, citing Bloomberg.

As of 13.23, the euro rate to rouble jumped by around 20.4% from Friday to 143.37 rubles per euro. The dollar rate has gone up by 27% to 133 rubles per dollar. During the previous trading session, the euro reached a maximum of 145.869 rubles, and the dollar was at 140.2547 rubles.

The Moscow Exchange does not hold the currency trading today in line with the decision of the Bank of Russia.
