Specialist announces best savings currency for 2021

"The best foreign currency for savings this year will be the euro, as the dynamics of recovery in the European economy will support the appreciation of this currency," said Mikhail Zeltser, a stock market specialist at BKS Mir Investment.

"We believe that the European economy dynamics will outpace the recovery of the United States, and US fiscal programs will put devaluation pressure on the dollar. As such, the euro may already be 1.3 times more expensive against the dollar in the first quarter of 2021. This shows that it is preferable to keep foreign currency in euros," he added.

Report informs, citing RIA Novosti, that except the euro, the yuan and yen also have the medium-term potential for this purpose.

Zeltsver stressed that the currencies of the BRICS countries, especially the rand and the rupee, may also be of interest.
