In January-April of 2023, tax revenues collected by the State Tax Service for the state budget increased by 52.4% compared to the same period in 2022, amounting to 7,672.2 million manats ($4.51 billion), Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov wrote on Twitter, Report informs.
"Throughout this period, the tax revenues from the nonoil-gas sector grew by 16.7% compared to the same period last year, reaching 4,003.4 million manats ($2.35 billion). The increase in tax revenues can be attributed to the reduction of the scale of the 'shadow economy', measures taken to legalize business activities and growing revenues of the private sector," he tweeted.
