Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency have signed a program of cooperation designed for 2025 for the amount of more than €1 billion.

Report informs via Uzbek media that the agreement was reached on the results of the visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France. During the visit, he met with Agency General Director Rémy Rioux.

The cooperation program provides for financing and implementation of joint projects in agriculture, energy, green economy, development of urban infrastructure, water supply, banking and financial sector and transport. The application of the mixed mechanism of financing projects including with participation of direct investments of French companies is also being discussed.

During his visit Mirziyoyev also held a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. A package of investment agreements and trade contracts were signed by the results of the Uzbek President's trip.
