Famous Turkish football coach Fatih Terim will visit Azerbaijan on November 15 at the invitation of the Qarabag Club, Report informs.
He will participate in an event to create an alliance of football clubs to combat climate change as part of COP29 in Baku.
The football fans' favorite will arrive in Baku along with representatives of clubs that will join the future alliance.
Terim will visit Azerbaijan to support the alliance, which will be created jointly by Qarabag and the European Club Association (ECA) with the assistance of the COP29 presidency and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Additional information about Terim's visit program to Baku and meeting with media representatives will be presented to the public later.
The alliance creation event will take place on November 16 at 14:00 (GMT+4) in the Nasimi hall of the Blue Zone and will be open to all who have been accredited to this zone.
The alliance is expected to include Qarabag, as well as English clubs Liverpool, Tottenham, Spanish Atletico and Real Betis, Turkish Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, Italian Udinese, Portuguese Porto, Brazilian Flamengo and Swedish Malmö.
Fatih Terim achieved his greatest coaching successes with the Galatasaray Club and the Turkish national team. He holds the record for most victories in the Turkish championship - eight.
