"Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood is based on the principle of 'one nation, two states'. Both the Turkish and Azerbaijani peoples live according to this formula," Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Ahmadov said at a meeting with First Deputy Chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Numan Kurtulmus.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that during the 44-day war, the whole world witnessed Turkey's support for Azerbaijan. This support was also another confirmation of Turkey's power.
"Today, Azerbaijan and Turkey are experiencing the most glorious period in their history. The close friendly relations between President Ilham Aliyev and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan greatly contribute to the relations between our countries," Ahmadov added.
First Deputy Chairman of the AK Party Numan Kurtulmus said that Turkish-Azerbaijani relations had reached a new stage:
"The Karabakh Victory not only ended the Armenian occupation but also created new realities in the region. This victory is a source of pride for us as well. The scale of this victory will become more apparent in the coming years."
