ANAMA chairman meets with CEO of Stirling Foundation

Vugar Suleymanov, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), met with Edward Rowe, CEO of the Stirling Foundation, Report informs citing ANAMA.

During the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the importance of the support provided by international organizations in eliminating the landmine problem faced by Azerbaijan, including the importance of foreign donor assistance in this direction.

Rowe said that the destruction in the liberated territories is regrettable, but the restoration and construction works carried out in those areas are commendable. He highlighted the great importance of humanitarian demining activities, as well as the intention of the Stirling Foundation to provide further financial support to the activities carried out by Azerbaijan in the fight against the mine threat.
