The elections were held in a free, lawful and transparent manner, Pedro De Morais Neto, a representative of the Angolan parliament, said at a press conference held on February 8 in connection with the results of the snap presidential elections in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
According to him, the elections were held in accordance with the law and in an orderly manner, high voter turnout was observed:
"Such a high interest in the election is related to the situation created in Azerbaijan. This means that there is economic and social stability in Azerbaijan, which is a great chance for the citizens of the country, and the citizens value it well. We observed that more elderly people voted in 15 polling stations. Female voters prevailed among them."
