Azerbaijan's minister of culture invited to Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka's Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious, and Cultural Affairs Vidura Wickramanayaka and Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli, met in Baku within the framework of the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.

Report informs citing the Ministry of Culture that Vidura Wickramanayaka thanked Adil Karimli for the high level of organization of the forum and the hospitality shown to the delegations.

The sides discussed cooperation in protection of cultural heritage.

Touching upon Sri Lanka's rich traditions in the field of cultural heritage protection, Wickramanayaka noted that they would be happy to share their experience in this area with Azerbaijan. He also invited Azerbaijan's minister of culture to pay an official visit to Sri Lanka.

Adil Karimli, in turn, spoke about Azerbaijan’s contribution to intercultural dialogue and emphasized the importance of the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
