Azerbaijan’s PM meets with Chairman of World Green Economy Organization

Prime Minister Ali Asadov of Azerbaijan met with Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO), Report informs.

During the meeting, the sides emphasized the importance of COP 29 and expressed their confidence in the event’s ability to make key decisions to accelerate the global green transition.

Ali Asadov detailed Azerbaijan’s efforts in promoting the green economy, improving environmental health, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and establishing a “zero-emission” zone in the liberated territories. He also outlined the country’s success in implementing renewable energy projects.

The meeting also explored opportunities for enhanced cooperation on green energy transition initiatives.
