Azerbaijani FM meets with special representative of Russian MFA

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Igor Khovaev, Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, Report informs, referring to Azerbaijani MFA.

During the meeting, the normalization process of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, negotiations on the peace treaty, as well as the current situation in the region were discussed.

During the discussions, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov drew attention to the position and priorities of his country in the peace negotiations, as well as future expectations. At the same time, he informed the other party about the provocative steps of Armenia that undermine the peace process and negotiations.

The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry underlined the importance of ensuring peace and stability in the region, and expressed Russia's readiness to provide all kinds of support in this regard.

The sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
