Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian, Report informs, citing the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
The ministers exchanged views on the current state of relations between the two countries.
The parties noted the recently observed harmful rhetoric, which does not correspond to the level of friendly relations between the two countries, and underlined the need to resolve all differences through dialogue.
The ministers stressed the importance of constant respect for the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty of the countries.
It was decided to discuss issues related to transit through the Republic of Azerbaijan via direct contacts between relevant government agencies. The ministers also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
