Today, the Iranian-Armenian brotherhood remains a threat to the region, Spokesperson for Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Aykhan Hajizada said in response to the remarks by Nasser Kanaani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Report informs.
He said that during the last 30 years, Iran actually turned a blind eye to the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia with its silent consent:
“It is well known that Iran remained indifferent to the occupation of Karabakh and East Zangazur and the looting of these areas, the selling of stones removed from the houses in these areas in Iranian markets, the destruction and abuse of 65 of the 67 existing mosques.”
