Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian held a meeting, Report informs, citing MFA.
The meeting began in a one-on-one format and continued with the participation of delegations from both sides.
Minister Bayramov noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Iran are based on ancient history and common culture. He said that contacts between the country's officials, especially meetings at the level of heads of state, gave a serious impetus to developing bilateral cooperation.
According to Amirabdollahian, a beneficial meeting and comprehensive discussions were held with the President of Azerbaijan.
The ministers discussed the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran in economic, trade, and humanitarian spheres. The activity of the State Commission in this regard was noted.
The sides also exchanged views on the current situation in the region, the emergence of new realities, and opportunities for cooperation after the conflict, including the future prospects of the 3 + 3 consultation mechanism, the benefits of opening communications in the region, and other topics.
