"Fulfillment of the terms of the trilateral declaration is significant for security and cooperation in the region. Azerbaijan and Russia have similar interests in this issue," Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elshad Isgandarov said at a meeting of the Russian-Azerbaijani Expert Council in Baku on November 19, Report informs.
Expressing confidence that the meeting of the Russian-Azerbaijani Expert Council will lead to the further deepening of relations between the two states, Elshad Isgandarov said: "The new reality in the region requires innovative approaches. It is up to us to turn the South Caucasus into a developing area. The construction of a transport and communication network is fundamental in building a bridge with Europe and Asia, which will contribute to the economy and development of stakeholders."
He also said that the Azerbaijani-Russian relations are based on mutual trust and friendship between the two countries' leaders.
